Love Story

On my daily hourly trip back from frm Tuas today, the cab's radio was tuned into Class 95 and the DJs asked for stories related to school bags/badges. Shortly after, they received a story as summarized below:

"On a particular day when I reached school, I realised that I didn't bring along my school badge. I panicked and went in search of anyone who had an extra school badge to lend before assembly started. A senior learnt of my plight and helped me to ask around. Just then, she approached a guy fren in the canteen.

To my surprise, he actually took off the badge from his collar and handed it over, without even taking his eyes off his book at all. In my frenzy, I took over the badge and quickly went for assembly.

When assembly ended, I was shocked to see that the guy was caught by the discipline master. I felt really guilty but I was too chicken to do anything else. When the day ended, I went back to the canteen to look for the guy to return his badge. I found him reading his book once again. I told him that I'm really sorry, for causing him to be scolded by the discipline master. He said "It's okay. As long as you're alright."

We became frens after that, and some time later, we went "steady".

Now, 15 years later, we're still together and he's my husband. If not for that school badge, I would never have noticed him in school at all...."

Hearing it being narrated in the DJ's sweet voice with love oldies playing in the background, you'll really go "awwwwwww" at the end of the story! Imagine what a story u can tell to ur grandchildren in future, isn't it. But does this really happen in real life?? Jean Danker actually cried after hearing the story.

By the way, while her co-host Timothy Oh was narrating the story and after he read the word "steady", he regained his normal voice and said "Just by the word "steady", u can tell how long ago this story had happened right.", which I thought was quite funny, haha.

Gone with the Long (dreadful) March

It's April!

A quarter of the year has passed by and well, it sure doesnt feel like it. Anyway, i've not had my fair share of happy food yet, but my colleagues and i had dinner at Shokudo (whr the food isnt fantastic frm my memory) on our almost habitual friday night out, and we ended up ordering alot of food and sharing among ourselves, and turns out tt the food doesnt taste tt bad afterall!

Perhaps things get better when they're shared. =)
