At The Crossroads

Exams are finally overrrrr! Like finally. I've been looking forward to this dec holidays since eons ago. The fact that it had been such a terrible sem made this dec holidays even more desirable. I just couldnt wait to get out of the hands of year three sem one.

The sem brought with it many adjustments.

The travelling is a big part of it. There were times when i ended lessons at 6pm and found myself wishing tt i cld just walk back to tt beloved hall of mine which is 5 mins away and then go for dinner, instead of enduring a 2 hr journey. And i also found myself missing some little things tt came with hall life, things tt i nv knew i wld miss. Such as, missing the food at ah fang, missing the fruit juices at can 5, missing having a room to go back to during lesson breaks, missing having frens to grumble about our hard day in sch tgr. Well that kind of thing. And the irony is tt i used to get so sick of hall food and my room at times! Wells, aint human nature like this. We always treasure some things after we've decided to give it up.

Then there's also the numerous projects to deal with and the angst of working with various proj mates for various projs concurrently. When things got bad, the agony was beyond description, and i dont really want to recall that feeling. Coupled with the fact tt i've always thought tt final year shld be slacker (thanks to my seniors' facade), the struggle with schoolwork and people relationships proved to be a big obstacle. But of cos, at the end of the day, we'll all survive, somehow. Admist all that, i'm so ever grateful that i have a wonderful 205 group cos they're the ones tt gave me the most smiles and encouragement during the sem. =)

The exams came and went, and seriously, i think its my worst uni exam. Lost a whole load of motivation to study this time round, probably cos subconsciously, i know tt i dont need this sem's results to grant me a job. And of cos, this is really very very bad. For now, i can only hope for the best. Sigh.

So anyway, dec is now here and its supposed to be the month where my peers and i put pen to paper on tt piece of job contract. During these past couple of days, i've finally decided on the firm to seal my fate with, if i'm following the normal route. It was a happy feeling, somehow, surprisingly. Or maybe it's just a sense of relief tt i dun have to think so much on the comparison between the Big4 firms anymore. Or maybe, sth surreal called fate seems to be at its work, and we shall do as fate decrees, haha.

On the other hand, a couple of frens are taking a road less travelled, or rather, trying to pursue sth different. And it sparked off a light in me tt maybe i shld consider the option of following an interest as a career as well. So maybe maaayyyybe, i'll send out my resume and see where this leads to eventually. =)

Alrighty, dec fun beckons, and i cant wait to start work on my 2 new committees too! Also, hopefully a 0607 FOC committee outing will finally materialise cos we all miss those FOC times so so sooooo dearly, but we're all just too lazy to plan an outing for 28 ppl, haha.

And to my nus darlings, hang in there for a little while more and i cant wait to see all of you sooooooon! =)
