It's recess wk. It's project wk. Sigh.
205 seminar presentation is killing us. Never thought that a presentation on seminar qns would pose as such a big obstacle. And we still have alot to do for our project as well. Sigh. Hope everything will be figured out on wed's meeting which will be held at my place. Havent had frens over for quite long! =)
If 205 proj/presentation is making me feeling helpless alr, i cant bear to think of what 301 wld be like. And bcos of so many things to do, yet so little time, i feel that i'm not contributing enough for 311 proj.
Then,
Sch comm stuff is..... i dunno how to say, but my enthusiasm is dying away by the minute currently.
Driving is.... well, at this rate that i'm going, i dunno how i'm gg to go for my test.
So disheartening.

Recess wk is coming! Yay! I want to catch up with frens, eat good food, catch up with 301 tutorials, watch a movie, etc etc. But it's projects week cos I've proj meetings everyday. =(
But at least, my 205 grp mates will keep the laughters going i know. =)
I'm also hoping that the finalised listings for both committees bring good news with it soon!
And, I'm so looking forward to this fri's dinner with the girls! It'll mark a great start to the recess wk! =)

Some time ago, while pouring over the dilemma of taking over the committee that I had been in for the past yr, I found myself asking "what is the point of serving in the committee?" This came as a surprise, because I've always had the enthusiasm for committees that I am interested in. Furthermore, this is a comm that I had been in for 1 yr alr. I would be planning for the same event once again, hence there's no venture into strange grounds this time. So why the hesitance?
Well, take for example, what is the point u see, cos who will actually appreciate the committee behind-the-scenes for the event? Most of the ppl who attend the event wont even know who are the main ppl that brought the successful event to them. To them, the event is just a night of dolling up, catching up w frens, having fun and good food. Who will acty think of the ppl who spent their time liaising, getting sponsors, designing posters n door gifts, planning every single detail, just for that one night?
But well, that wont really matter, if u have a wonderful committee to work tgr with. So anyway, we're all staying in the comm and hope that the new comm will be a fun one and that we'll be able to bring the best to our fellow peers come nxt july.
In my past committees, I've worked with some of the best ppl I've ever worked with before. The chemistry, laughter and fun during meetings or gatherings are one of my best memories in uni. Sadly, some of these ppl are seniors who have grad alr. Hence, the cessation of those wonderful working relationships, and perhaps even friendships. (due to everyone's different paths and busy schedules)
Then, a call came just now. An opportunity was presented for me to experience organising a different event this time round.
Different, because it's a nationwide event and not related to sch.
Different, because it's for an environmental cause without losing the fun factor, (which holds more meaning behind it, or so I prefer to think, haha)
Different, because we will be meeting ppl of all ages.
But something's gonna remain the same.
I'm going to work with some of the best ppl that I've worked with before once again, (if everything goes to plan). I will still be seeing these ppl for the nxt few mths or so, even though some of them have grad. And as quoted, meetings arent really going to be meetings. Meetings are going to be gatherings over dinner with laughter.
After the call, I felt my passion for event-organising being ignited again. I cant help but feel excitement because it's an event of a different nature. Hopefully, the recruitment for the comm goes according to plan. And that will be fabulous!
Also, this means that I'll be juggling 2 committees with different natures catering to different crowds in my final yr. So cool. =)

Got a lil upset after reading an email.
I guess sometimes we really cant force things to go exactly the way we want it. The more we want to control, the more things will go the opposite direction.
So that's how the world works huh?
I'm okay. I will find a way to hold my peace. Somehow.
Where are the smiles?

So it's the end of week 5. I have nothing much to say, except that sch is very stressful. It's the final year and final year is SUPPOSED to be slacker. But. No. Even though I usually have a 3-day week, my 2 off-days are spent on proj meetings. Even my saturdays arent spared, cos I've alr spent 2 consecutive saturdays in town for proj mtgs, and tmr hails another one. Oh hurray. =S
Other than that, I've been busy with trying to get used to no more staying in hall, trying to recover frm my illness (where the 2 days spent at home has got me hooked on watching tv all day long), trying to complete 301 tutorials but still failing nevertheless, trying to cope with the stress, trying trying trying......
Anyway, 2 of my 205 proj grp mates and i found out that we 3 are linked through our sec sch and jc in a way, even though all 3 of us come from '85, '86 & '87 batches respectively. So 1 group mate brought her tj yearbook today to show us how the other looked like back then. And I found many other familiar faces as well. Some are the male frens whom I got to know in nbs (the '85 batch), whose faces didnt change much but hairstyles are very different now, haha. And others are ahs seniors whom I haven seen ever since they grad since back then. They're ppl whom I might not even recognise if i see them on the streets these days, but when I chanced upon their faces in the yrbook, I cld recognize that "ohhhh they're frm ahs!" This brought back a feeling of nostalgia, and I cant help but wonder where are all these seniors now. How those ahs days seem so long ago now! And looking through those jc photos, despite it not being my own jc, i find myself missing those uniform days somehow! (even though my CT tutor ruined a big part of my jc life)
Okay I'm gg to dig out my ahs yrbook to show it to my grp mates and find out how the other grp mate looks like back in those long ago years! We can all have a good laugh at our obiang looks back then during proj mtg tmr.
