after a wk of being cooped up in the small island of ntu, i feel abit weird upon stepping onto the land of tampines today.
haha...
its like ppl all arnd suddenly come frm all walks of life and of different ages.
so different frm back on campus, where most ppl all arnd are just abt our age, more or less.
lol.
and having to squeeze with the HUGE population of crowd in tampines just needs some getting use to.
but of cos, being able to taste my mum's wonderful cooking for a change is sth that i wont complain abt.
haha..

yup anyway, tutorials and projects are piling up.
tsk tsk.
suddenly feel that there's no time to do anything else, except things related to sch.
thats... sad.
hmmm but what to do.

alrightttt, DND is tmr.
so much planning, so much unsettled feelings.
just hope it will all come down to a night of fun and make our money worth!
hopefully wanting will win the crown and do VEGA proud! =)

hall 4 round island supper was a great experience, albeit a fattening one.
lol.
went to bukit timah, tiong bahru, geylang and bedok 85 market in chartered buses. =)
hmmm but recently, i've started thinking if i've really grown fatter ever since uni started.
sigh.

anyway, i need sleep.
lots of sleep.

thurs is union day so no lessons.
yay for now.
cos i really need this break.

after having taken up some tuition assignments, i came to the conclusion that my tutors through my pri and sec sch years are very lucky to have me as their student.

hahaha.

seriously, i'm not being a thick-skinned person here.
but i was a diligent student.
i look forward to tuition every wk cos its when i can clear my doubts on my subjects.
and then i'll know how to do my work.
i dont have a laid back attitude.
and my mum isnt the kind who sits next to me and see how my tutors teach.
and scare the tutors away.

and if the tutor is a nice and polite person, my mum will treat him/her to pastries.
a glass of water is always there on the table during every lesson.
but of cos, all these is just a bonus.

the least one can do is to be responsible and nice enough to the other party.

then i wonder, is the problem me or my student?

anyway, i'm in the midst of adjusting to uni life.
quite used to walking arnd campus alr, hopefully will stop getting lost by next wk.
hahaha...
but really gotta buck up on my work.
must rem to print notes and tutorials and readings that are needed for every lesson.
and hopefully by next wk onwards, i'll be well prepared for every tutorial.
hope no more being so blur and lost and see that, oh gosh, others have done that tutorial, and i dont even know the existence of the reading.
lol.

have decided to stick by my jap elective and just gambatte thru the sem.
lessons are fun but its the workload thats heavy.
there're simply so many things to rem!
its like being in kindergarten once again and learning how to speak and write all over again.
haha

am getting used to hall life too.
finally managed to know some ppl in hall and we're having a round island supper next mon!
since supper is part and parcel of hall life.
well i wonder what time i'll get to sleep and i have a 830 lecture on tues morning!
haha...

hmmm and of cos not forgetting my dearest nbs og, vega.
time spent in sch will be so miserable without them.
hopefully we'll still continue to stay bonded throughout every sem.
hahaha.
we have such a good reputation so we gotta stay and uphold it... LOL.

well the latest update is that i have a 5 day wk now cos i took up the jap unrestricted elective, when i wanted to take a prescribed elective more for this sem.. but circumstances drive ppl crazy and desperate.

the amount of independence one needs in uni is huge.

literally and un-literally.

walking arnd campus for 2 days has made me feel like i've worked out at the gym for a couple of hrs alr.
staircases are here, there, everywhere.
not to forget the long climb up the stairs to my hall room on the 5th floor, which is actually 7th floor, cos i have to climb 2 floors before getting to the 1st floor of my block.
(ok, dont think anyone will understand that unless u've been to my hall)

anyway, whats more exasperating is how lost i feel abt our academic stuff.
planning for electives, timetable clashes, bad timings of lessons, printing notes, etc.
everything which we have to settle on our own.
suddenly, no one is spoon-feeding us, and we're left to feed and fend for ourselves.

oh, plus ccas to sign up for and worrying if i'll get a place in hall next yr if i just become a slacker and anti-social person in my cca life.
hahaha.

head seems to be bursting with headaches.
appears that i'm gonna have a very slack sem1 cos i cant seem to get any electives and then, it'll cause me to have a very busy and stressful yr2 and yr3 ahead.
this is bad.
very bad.
i'd rather lead a xian1 ku3 hou4 tian2 life.

nevertheless, i'm so glad that i have my og, vega, to guide me through and help one another along.
its times like these that we'll realise how impt it is to know ppl who're in the same course and sch as us.

time flies and august is here.
signifying the start of uni term.
my first uni term.

haha.

after slacking and not using my brains much for 7 mths, my brain has seriously rotted so much to the extent that i dunno whats left in it anymore.
lol...
as i look back on these 7 mths, some days are deeply carved in the back of my mind.
results day, celebrations of my birthday, celebrations of my frens' birthdays, jj's concert, vj piano concert, my bangkok trip and the recent orientation.

well, memories are memories and the smiles in photos just remind us of how wonderful those days have been and let the scenes run across our minds again.

and now, yet another chapter in life awaits.
wonder how its all gonna be like, unknowing of what to expect.
but whatever it is, i hope the days ahead are gonna be filled with laughter and smiles. =)

not as bad as i thought.

i can see the business sch from my block!
the bus stop is just at the doorstep of my hall, so when i wanna get out of ntu, its quite fast!
the yunnan garden is at the doorstep too!

haha...
and the room has none of those cobwebs or whatsoever tales which i heard frm my frens in older halls.
its just dusty.
the shared toilet is better than i expected.
haha...

ok n we added a rug and coffee table in the room.

shall take photos when i've moved everything in! =)
