having a heart suspending in the air is not a good feeling at all.
it can make one go crazy by thinking and thinking and thinking abt it.
tsk
have only received ntu's letter of acceptance so far.
but i feel that i'm really blessed alr.
now, i'm just hoping and praying that my dearest frens will be blessed too!
pls let everything turn out fine and being the way we've always hoped and wanted.

TGIF
when i stepped into the lift of my office building this morning, two ladies said to each other TGIF--- thank goodness it's friday
yeah, thank goodness it's friday!
otherwise, i think all of us will collapse from fatigue.
my colleague, Anne, and I were super hyper today.
haha... simply cos its a friday
she had finally completed her project which was due months ago and i'm simply grateful that the long wkend's here to take my mind off work! and since we're the younger generation in the dept, i guess we show our happiness more... lol
but then again, as anne was telling me abt her detailed wkend plans packed from morning till dusk, i realised that i've nth to look forward to in this long wkend...
haha
shall see how anyway

breathless
suddenly rem that sherilyn's birthday has passed.
guilty for not being able to rem on the day itself
realised that i've forgotten 2 frens' birthdays this yr, even though they had been an impt part of my jc life.
what a bad fren i am.
only realised it when i wrote the date during work today.
and it also dawned on me that tmr's someone's birthday too.
ha
anyway, work's become a daunting experience these two days cos my boss may kick me out of my seat as there's a new perm staff and there're not enough seats in the dept.
and being a temp staff (a small fry) in such a big company means i have to relent.
finally realised why my colleagues hate my boss that much
haha
luckily i still have nice colleagues.
but if i get kicked out of my seat, i'll be sitting at a place where i dont know anyone yet.
so i guess that pretty much explains my dread.
been dealing with another difficult issue which needs much determination and i'm a person who's easily swayed.
the past has come back to haunt and i hope i'll be able to stand firmly on my ground throughout.
it's a bad start to the week.
fear has been filling up, almost up to the brim
can hardly breathe anymore
hope things will look up from tmr onwards

links here and there
i've been blog surfing and had some interesting findings.
stumbled upon this blog by this guy who blogs abt meaningful dark thoughts abt his own life.
all i cld guess of his background is that he's most prob in smu right now.
i kept scrolling down and suddenly i saw photos where lee laoshi was in one of them!
it turned out that he was from ahs cds.
sometimes, things really take you by surprise when u least expect it.
from that site, i saw some familiar faces.
and he had links to some of his frens, who were my seniors back in ahs.
as i scanned thru all those blogs, i realised that so many seniors are still having sec sch class gatherings in these days!
and thinking abt my own 4E, i just feel a sense of helplessness
haha...
they've grad like, 2 or 3 yrs before me, and they still have class gatherings often.
i'm amazed that 1 or 2 of them still have pri sch gatherings..
seriously.
looking back on my various sch days, 4E was the cls which i've felt most unity in.
a strange unity, if u must insist.
cos it's not that everyone is close to everyone (how is it possible in a cls of 30-sth?)
but there was unity among all cliques.
there was basically no ostracism
everyone talks to everyone
we've worked as a cls before---together.
it seems like the only cls, which i've been to, that shld have a high possibility of having cls gatherings even after we've all grad.
but somehow, things didnt turn out that way.
i guess everyone's busy with their own lives
really miss some characters of 4E badly, other than my own clique's dear girls.
we should really make the effort to organise one someday soon. =)
it seems quite impossible for my pri sch cls to have a gathering (right jas?). lol
my sec2 cls had too much conflicts
and ha, my vj cls holds gatherings that doesnt include everyone, a cls which i've never felt i really belonged to anyway.
4E is a place worth missing.
other than keeping the upper sec days in our hearts, we shld perhaps create more memories too.

some ramblings
many ppl must be appalled at the news featured today abt a jc boy.
somehow, news that concern ppl whom we know and heard of before will always make us spend a minute longer reading abt it, a minute longer thinking abt it.
anyway, been just working routinely.
always run into some familiar faces here and there.
has been confirmed that i'll be working till 26th may.
and then i'll be free, just in time to go shopping in the Great Singapore Sale in june! lol
will be attending a compliance briefing at work tmr with ppl frm other depts whom i dun know.
ppl take 1 look at my face and will know that i dont belong there.
so am feeling quite jittery abt it now.
yeah, seriously dont feel in tune with the corporate crowd
and i dun want to, too.
still hope to have that bit of vibrancy and youth in me
cos i regard myself as a student... lol

taking time out
SLOW DANCE
Have you ever watched kids
On a merry-go-round?
Or listened to the rain
Slapping on the ground?
Ever followed a butterfly's erratic flight?
Or gazed at the sun into the fading night?
You better slow down.
Don't dance so fast.
Time is short.
The music won't last.
Do you run through each day
On the fly?
When you ask How are you?
Do you hear the reply?
When the day is done
Do you lie in your bed
With the next hundred chores
Running through your head?
You'd better slow down
Don't dance so fast.
Time is short.
The music won't last.
Ever told your child,
We'll do it tomorrow?
And in your haste,
Not see his sorrow?
Ever lost touch,
Let a good friendship die
Cause you never had time
To call and say,"Hi"
You'd better slow down.
Don't dance so fast.
Time is short.
The music won't last.
When you run so fast to get somewhere
You miss half the fun of getting there.
When you worry and hurry through your day,
It is like an unopened gift....
Thrown away.
Life is not a race.
Do take it slower
Hear the music
Before the song is over.
have been reading a book abt a woman who escapes unscathed from an accident at sea when 9 others didnt survive.
it made her realise the need to slow down her pace in life and think abt things that she hadnt given a thought to before, or, had kept at the bottom of her heart but nv let those thoughts resurface prior to the accident.
all of us need to do this
as a form of improving our lives and selves.
i was on the train back from work today when the train hit a "thud" and came to a stop.
lights and aircon out.
it was announced that there had been an accident.
the 1st thought in many of the commuters' minds (incl the practical me, sad to say) was "oh gosh... i just wanna get home fast after a day of sickening work"
then i was thinking, if the train had collided with someone on the track, judging from the spate of suicide cases on the mrt track in recent yrs.
it was a terrible thought.
and then, the topic of how precious life is, came up.
life is indeed precious.
thing is, i dont think many of us are doing very much to make full use of every minute we have.
unfortunately, me neither.

breathtaking scenery!
i foresee myself spending longer periods of time at the pantry... lol
craving for retail therapy now...
cos my wkdays will be burnt at work
