Convocation ball went successfully without any major hiccups, and I can totally feel myself finally heave a sigh of relief at the finale toast. Then began the photo-taking craze and went off for drinks w the seniors n kelly, persis n jy aft the ball. What happened thereafter was tt some of us who hadnt even planned to spend the night in our complimentary hotel room still ended up doing so. So imagine, I had all tt makeup n hairdo on till the nxt morning when i reached home at arnd 9am! (since I didnt bring any toiletries w me.)
Some ppl may have felt emo when the nostalgia video was played but well, I didnt feel the least bit emo. The only tinge of sadness came about only when I think abt my committees' journey (where Convocation Ball 2009 is my final committee), and how Kelly and Simon wont be working w me in future tgr anymore. The 3 of us shared 4 committees tgr in 3 years, what else can be said about our chemistry right. =) Not forgetting Kenji, another wonderful committee partner, who has been here w us at the beginning and at the end as well. These amazing guys brought me a different kind of motivation in NBS, and the memories and laughter shared w them in all our committees will forever be remembered. =) And I do love the seniors who are ever so supporting as well!
Now for some photos of convo ball!
Most of the girls from this year's convo ball comm! I love the color combi of our dresses in this photo! =)
A group pic of FOC Main Comm 2007, the best committee of my uni life! It's been v long since we had come tgr for a group pic, but the many friendships forged in this comm make up a big part of my uni life. Sadly, not all members of the comm managed to make it for the ball or even into the photo, so this is only a partial grp pic!
More convo ball photos are in FB alr. =)
And then, 2 days later, it was the convocation ceremony, which I had been working towards for the past 3 years of my life! Haha, finally I get to don the gown and mortarboard! My only regret was tt I didnt get to take any pic throwing my mortarboard w my dearest frens.

Yay we're the graduates of 2009! =)

Yay we're the graduates of 2009! =)
Sha & Mormor, the 2 most important ppl in my NBS academic life. They made tutorials and projs so much more tolerable, and they've been my listening ear or bitching partner or whatever u call it, for ppl u stick w in sch tgr for 3 years, haha. The late nights in reading room, FAL or sha's house brainstorming for projects, the recess weeks where we see each other almost everyday so as to finish projs, the days of them always having to drive me home after all our late nights, well those were the days. Words are beyond description of how glad I am to have their friendships throughout, except tt I really really love them, and hope tt our friendships will go a long long way! =)So one week has passed since convo, and I'm finally moving on to another phase of my life. Will be starting work proper in Oct, and in e meantime, I've decided not to rot my life away. I secured a temp job today, and to my surprise, I find myself being happy over it, even though it's not a dream job or whatever. Although the days of waking up at 7 or squeezing onto the trains at rush hour or 1 hr daily lunch time or chopping seats with tissue packets etc etc. beckons really soon, I'm still glad tt I'll have sth else to occupy my time from now on.
Had a talk with roomie today, and we both know tt she's spot on pertaining to some things, even tho in a way i was too ashamed to admit it out loud. And she's right in every way when she indicated tt i need "sth new" in my life. Anyway, thank you so much for waiting for me to complete my interview today, and for bringing sth back frm H&M in HK for me! =) Gosh, i miss H&M sooooo much.
Also met up w another grp of frens today and I saw how relationship problems can make or break a person. It also dawned on me tt ppl all arnd may face similar issues, but the characters involved are the main factors tt determine the outcome of everything. I hope my fren will get his happiness soon, cos he deserves it.
Okay hope to be able to meet up w a couple more grps of close frens before I embark on my temp job. And I really do hope tt despite it being a temp job, it'll be sth for me to look forward to for the next 2 months. =)
