It feels great to have my birthday just right after exams. The joy of celebrating my birthday with frens double up with the exhilaration of seeing my beloved ones whom i haven seen for so long! I'm really really grateful to all who remember my birthday and take time out to celebrate for me. Thanks to s41! There was supposed to be a jc cls gathering on sat night but i couldnt make it. And at 9 plus pm, i suddenly received a bombardment of sms-es saying "happy birthday daph!" haha it was really funny! hope to be able to attend the nxt gathering! =)
Thanks to my family and frens, for making me feel really blessed. Reality has now sunk in that i'm really getting old, after having the transition of being 19 to 20 now. It's time to bade farewell to teenhood! haha. of cos, i hope my twenties will be fascinating! =p
Anyway, i met up with yc and ming on fri! There's such a fuzzy warm feeling seeing them again, haha. thanks for the dinner treat!
ming: our 1st yr in uni has ended just like that.
me: yahhh and i've only 4 sems left.
yc: daphne is going to be rich in future!
ming: yah nxt time daphne wants to go fine dining, but i'll still be a poor undergraduate, then we wont be able to eat tgr alr.
yc: nooooo, nxt time she'll treat us cos she'll be getting a salary alr!
oh gosh, it didnt really occur to me that i'm going to grad a year earlier than most of my old frens until this conversation took place. haha no prob girls! =)
And oh, before i went to meet them, i acty went back to hall to return keys. As it was nearing 5pm, i was freaking scared that the hall office will close any moment, and then i wld be making a wasted trip! So, i walked really really fast but when i was at hall 5, my fav pair of heels, which was bought from overseas, just couldnt take it!
Yeah, see? The ribbon in front broke! I tried to continue walking to hall 4, but when i was at blk 24, i just gave up and decided to walk barefooted to blk 23, my own blk. Well, the worst thing was that i had moved everything back home last wk alr, so there wasnt any pair of shoes/slippers left in hall for me to change into!
Well, thank goodness for having jcrc neighbours. Jieying hasnt moved her things away yet and she became my lifesaver by lending me a pair of shoes. But anyway, since this has been my fav pair of heels (my prof had even praised it when i wore it for a presentation!), i was just really sad and still brought it home cos i couldnt bear to throw it away.
Oh wells. Sigh.
Anyway, i'll be starting work on 14th at credit suisse. Will be dealing with structured products, meaning tailored options, and in my interviewer's words, "just sth more complicated than the usual bonds and stocks." Oh gosh, i think its going to be rather challenging. Hmmm shall just see how.
And oh no, it kinda slipped my mind that i have to attend FOC and hall camp in july, and in the end, i've scheduled some plans that are going to clash with them, including my job. Sigh really dunno how, but oh wells, just see how everything goes i guess. I seriously dunno how i managed to forget abt FOC and hall camp acty, esp. when i've been taking part in organzing them.
For now, i'm just so looking forward to this upcoming wk before i start work! Time for catch-up sessions with frens! =)
