yet another yr older.
happy birthday to me. =)
somehow this yr, i lament on the passing of years and how old i've alr become.
haha
maybe it's the impact of the final yr being a teen
the last birthday where my age begins with the digit "1"
maybe its the significance of the age and what comes along with it.
and maybe cos i seriously dont feel 19 at all.
lol
when i was younger, perhaps in my sec sch yrs, i always thought that 19 means being really grown up.
it probably has to do alot with it being the age where we girls enter uni.
where we begin our varsity life
and boy, does that make us sound like big girls alr?
haha
i guess that has alot to do with the strong emphasis on what my parents has made on the importance of making it to uni ever since i was a child.
cos i'm the 1st one in my paternal family to make it to a local uni
and my parents will finally feel "oh yeah, i've finally brought up a girl who can make it to university!"
well, sth like that.
n well, bear in mind that the older generation thinks that getting into uni is a whole big deal
but of cos, that isnt really the case for our generation anymore.
but i digress.
19 is also the age where ppl will start asking if i have a boyfriend alr, as proven by my recent mother's day gathering at my grandma's house and by my auntie-colleagues.
n sooner or later, it gets annoying.
lol
19 is also the age where i've to start to become financially independent cos my parents think that i should start giving tuition and earn some allowance of my own
but i cant seem to get any tuition deals
and i'm such a shopaholic who has so many wants.
tsk
but of cos, 19 is also nice cos its just part of growing up and we all cant deny the growing up process cos we arent Peter Pan.
so yeah, i'm looking forward to my 19th year, hoping that it'll be filled with happiness and good health and being able to realise all hopes and dreams.
