Really no time and energy to say much now. Didnt sleep the whole of last night at "teck whye chalet" a.k.a. david's hs, as all of us were crazy from playing WII and GuitarHero. But the company was just totally wonderful. It's great to be in a group where you can feel totally comfortable and at ease with. =)
Will be boarding the plane in arnd 7 hrs' time.
Packing was difficult, and I really wonder how I can survive carrying the 50L backpack for 1 mth. But anyway, i WILL survive, somehw or rather. Both Sha and I are more worried and scared than excited for now, really wonder how things will turn out in this 1 mth.
But anyway, will see u all in june! and for mingli, i will probably see u in less than 24 hrs' time!!! =)

In Between
A year ago on this very day, I was just starting my internship. Some frens who have just started their internships in various firms asked me how was mine last yr. I recalled the 1st week where my whole grp of interns and I were just in the training room by ourselves having e-learning training. Subsequently, I rem the performance rehearsals days, the email spam fun, simply put, the laughter. Ahhhh those were the carefree happy days.
A year later, when I enter the same firm in Oct again, I wonder if things will still be the same.
Alrights anyway, had been just meeting up w frens, eating good food, doing trip research and hearing many travel tales frm various frens. I dunno how to describe my pre-trip feelings. It's just a whole mixture of excitement, anticipation, worry, fear and whatsoever. 6 more days to breathing the London air, I cant believe it!
And just before tt, there's NYEC "chalet" too! Can't wait to have fun w the comm again! =)

BKK lovin'
You know how some ppl say visuals always work best?
When kelly told me mths ago tt he wld be gg BKK w pl, clare n xp, i just thought "ohhh shoppingggggg". But I didnt particularly miss that place, cos it's been barely a year since my previous trip there. Not to mention tt there're still some clothes bought frm then tt I've hardly worn at all. And I've been there so many times tt I thought it's time to spend money elsewhere.
But well, they just returned frm BKK yst, and I just saw their freshly uploaded photos and I feel like gg there again!!! The photos reminded me of the very same things I did/shopped/ate over there not too long ago. Seriously, i think the thrills of shopping and eating in bkk can never be derived anywhere else, cos it is really possible to live like a queen there, haha.
Well, EUR will be a total opposite cos sha n i concluded tt it'll most prob be a eat-bread-and-walk-alot trip. (well, its a backpacking trip for a reason.) So we wld have turned into sexy babes by the time we come back, cos we wld have slimmed down alot in that one month. Haha.

Post-HK days
Just went to the polyclinic to take vaccinations for the sake of my EUR trip. When the nurses heard tt I just returned frm HK a wk ago, they treated me with utmost caution. Kind of a overreaction over there, but well, I do understand why this is so, ever since the SARS scare back in 2004. But seriously, I returned back to SG 1 day before the Mexico traveller arrived in HK okayyyy. And I didnt even step foot into Wanchai (the location of the hotel of the traveller).
But anyway, I finally purchased some surgery masks to bring along for my trip. N95 masks are sold out all over SG alr. Same goes with thermometers. All I can think of is that if H1N1 didnt occur, I didnt even have to go through all these preparation work. Oh wells. Hopefully everything gets better, so that I wont make others worry so much for me while I'm in EUR.
Anyway, my HK trip was just alright. Nth much caught my eye over there, so I didnt manage to return with truckloads full of clothes, unlike my BKK trips. The only shop tt made me excited in HK was H&M, haha. As for the food, dimsum is available cheaper than those u get in SG, but well, on the whole, HK's living expenses are still higher than SG's, even tho I find HK and SG very similar in many ways. I do love the cool weather there though! If only SG is a temperate country, fashion wear could be so much more versatile and interesting. Am very glad to be able to meet up w Nat while I was in HK too! =)
I turned double two yst, and thank youuuuu to all the frens who remembered! Esp. those who rem year after year, it's really heartwarming to receive ur wishes every yr. =) This time round, a couple more overseas numbers appeared in my inbox, due to the many frens who're currently studying overseas. Thank you for the msgs, despite being miles away and the time zone differences. Well, I'm not exactly thrilled on turning twenty-two, and I foresee myself dread turning older in the years to come, cos I can feel my youth being sapped away. Haha. But the warm wishes and arrangements for meetups with dear frens still made me very happy. =)
12 more days to EUR!

To go or not to...
My SIA air tix, Eurail pass, Eurostar pass, and accomodation reservations are all strewn over my table now. They had represented a dream coming true not too long ago. And now, sadly, they represent more of a risk.
3 hrs after I stepped down in sg late last night, I logged online and started reading all the news reports on swine flu for the past few days. The more I read, the more depressed I became. That took a whole of 2 hrs.
Am scheduled to leave for eur in only slightly more than 2 wks' time. Am scared and sad, esp. since some of the places tt I'm gg have confirmed cases alr. I don't wish to make others worry for me for a whole 26 days.
May is supposed to be a wonderful month.
(Updates on HK trip shall be left to another time.)
