one of the reasons why we may look forward to graduation is cos of the money that will come in. and when that money comes in, i'll definitely indulge myself in many of the musicals that come to singapore!

watching the phantom of the opera at the esplanade concert hall was a WONDERFUL experience!
s.u.p.e.r.b.
our seats were good! right in front of the vip box.
worth every cent of our expenditure. haha.
ming and i had a nice yummy dinner at ichiban in esplanade before the musical.
ichiban still ranks as my fav jap ala carte restaurant in sg. =)

anyway, the musical started on time, the settings were just breathtaking, the accoustics lived up to their name.
and now, i just sooooooo want to play in the orchestra of a musical!
that would be so cool. haha.

but of cos, its a pity that the chandelier didnt drop onto the stage with an impact.
and i was quite tired after 2 lectures during the day such that my attention span just switched off for awhile during the musical.
the diff btwn musicals and movies is that we cant rewind to catch what we've missed.
such a pity!
i wish to watch the musical again on its closing night!
it'll definitely be a different experience, despite it being the same musical.

anyway, here's a peek at the stage setting! (no photography was allowed, so we tried to take pics secretly with our hps, esp. since the usher was right beside us. haha and yay, ming succeeded!)

alrights, for now its back to work.
i have tons and tons of work to complete this weekend!
i have THREE quizzes next wk, THREE sets of tutorials to be completed, IT proj deadline on sun 8am, and there's a set of past yr exam paper to be completed before tues.
and then, my exams are in 2 wks' time.
and, i havent started revision at all.

yesh. omg.
i wish i've 48 hrs in a day.

its a thurs night and i'm still in hall.
cos had FOC canvassing just now, so will just go home tmr morning then.
currently waiting for my hair to dry before zonking out!

anyway
i was talking to kenji during FOC supper and he was telling me that his fav module this sem is ab114 Communications Management Fundamentals, which is basically a crap module that teaches us how to give powerpoint presentations, and i had alr taken it last sem.
but hmmm, this got me thinking and realised that perhaps my fav mod this sem seems to be my elective.

how pathetic.
out of 4 core mods that have got to do with our degree, we cant even find one mod that we like.

me: "but at least, u're in business. u can specialise in marketing! i love marketing la."
kenji: "ya marketing is damn fun! u can switch over too."

aiyooooo.
sighs.
throughout this sem (which has been quite a short span of time), i cant even keep track of the no. of ppl who had told me that alr.

chatted with spencer recently too, and he was saying that he felt like changing over to banking n finance, even though he's a year 2 alr.
switching between acc and biz isnt allowed after entering year 2, but he's even contemplating of going to the extent to write to nbs office to request for a course switch.
omg.
somehow it just seems that quite a no. of ppl in accountancy are contemplating if we're in the right course.
and i doubt if we'll ever be sure even during year 3.
haha.
does it happen to ppl who're in other courses too?
hmmm.
or bcos they're enjoying wad they're studying, so much so that not a second have they doubted if they've taken the right path?

anyway,
doubt i'll change to biz la.
i will persevere.
somehow.
haha.

on a random note,
in a few days' time, i'll be sitting in esplanade grand theatre watching the musical, Phantom of the Opera!
omg cant wait!
my $147 seat better be a good one.
haha.
other than that, i'm also looking forward to some shopping before the musical.
shall just enjoy some nice time walking around the area, looking at pretty things, and finding inspiration for my sis's bday present. =)

when the whole world has come crashing down,
sometimes, all it may take is just......

a greeting from a fren whom i haven heard in a long time,
or some words of concern from frens who arent by my side,
or a project mate who appreciates my effort very much,
or frens who are in my daily life try their best to help,
or seniors who do their best in guidance,
or a family that makes sure that i'm well-fed, well-rested, well-taken-care-of whenever i return for the weekend,

then everything seems alright again.

i'm better now.
cos i want to be.
albeit still fretting over my IT project, i'm trying my best to be positive.
everything will be over soon.
and.
i.will.survive.

business is a cut-throat world.
and being in a biz sch is kinda having the experience of facing the cruelty of the harsh world out there more or less.
bcos of this, i'm even more grateful to have met a couple of ppl in nbs(nanyang business sch) that i know i can trust and depend on.
though there're times when i see that some of my girlfrens in nbs have their old frens in here with them,
which make me wish that i'm over in nus instead, where many of my close frens are and that i'm not here in nbs alone,
but.
i know i'm lucky enough.
and i will treasure.

"from this moment" by shania twain & bryan white
strangely calms me these few days.
thanks to xiaowei's recommendation.
smooth lovey-dovey music gives a fuzzy warm feeling.

emotions been on a rollercoaster ride.
smiles cant come from the heart.
very burned out.
stress level reach an all-time-high.
panic attacks.
going into a frenzy.
frequent migraines.
screaming wont help.
complaining doesnt make a difference.
retail therapy feels bland.
eyes have gone on a drought.
floodgates seems to be locked tightly.

acc mid-term test over today.
frowned eyebrows all around.
stoned expressions.
demoralised spirits.
mind in a whirl.
i forgot my hall toilet code suddenly after the test
even though i've been remembering it for mths.

exams around the corner.
its not time to jog or run to the finishing line.
it's time to sprint.
allllll the way.
but how to.
when we've all lost the inertia.

outstanding projects still exist.
meetings are tough when it isnt with the same few familiar faces.
how so tiring.
i can feel myself giving up.
quitting.
no motivation.
oh how, oh how.

cold and chilly tuesday night.
roomie and neighbours all out for hall event at clarke quay.
elective stopped me from visiting the cafe which i've longed to go.
elective prevented me from attending foc meeting too.
but still, though elective keeps me in north spine till 10pm every wk,
i'm still quite glad for this weekly movie-time
to make up for my non-tv time in hall,
to make me have a few laughters after a stressful day.
to expose me to different genres and eras of movies.
gene wilder of the 1970s hollywood is really a brilliant actor.
somehow, a change of subject from acc/biz modules is a welcoming change.

work is increasing.
meetings are clashing.
inaugural meeting with alex and co. for the new nbs committee tmr.
its such non-academic stuff that keeps me sane.

am not treating ppl around me nice enough.
gotta be a better person.
show more love to my treasured ones.

ever so glad for the couple of listening ears i have in uni.
no amount of thanks can express my gratitude.

i wish for everything to end soon.
i wish.
i want.
i hope.
i wish.

alrightttt.
it's yet another thurs again, and i've completed one more week of sch.
cheers to this fact.
haha.
sch is getting more and more weary by the day, with proj deadlines approaching and continuous tests and exams looming arnd the corner.
the past wk had me wishing so often that this sem wld just quickly end.
and the thought of giving up arose so often, esp. with the indiv IT proj which i have absolutely no idea on how to go about doing it.
either i forget abt the 15%, or i pay someone to do it for me.
but i dun even have someone in mind who can help.
okay okay, thats unethical. and auditors are supposed to be very ethical. so yeah, that was just a thought that flashed across in 1 sec out of desperation.

to deal with the stress these few days,
glucose helps.
ALOT.
ignore the calories gained.
oh, and i'm looking at shoes again.

now now, frens who see me everyday in uni mostly observed that i do have a significant collection of shoes.
esp. pumps, for that matter.
since most girls turn to retail therapy for... well, therapy.
this time round, i'm observing birks, specifically.
haha.
anyone wants to order birks tgr? lol.

anyway
i went to visit nus one night during the recess wk.
i've always have frens in ntu who tell me that if there's an established accountancy program in nus, they wld definitely go over there.
but i've always stayed neutral to this comment.
until... the nus visit.
haha.
well, its just that their facilities are of more convenience to students there, esp. those who live in hall.
and of cos, sheares hall is really nice. exactly like our aircon halls.
but then again, so as not to discourage those who's reading this and entering ntu in future, its the norm for everyone to be unhappy with their own sch and envy those who're in other campuses.
think what novelty does to everyone.
haha.

accepted alex's invitation some time back to join his new committee in nbs.
quite glad for this chance so that i'll be involved in sth new after FOC, all the way till 2008.
took up a new portfolio this time round, no longer a biz mag.
haha.
looking forward to the exposure. =)

time to recharge.
i always love my weekends.
and i hope for a better wk ahead.
