The past week of CNY has been a flurry of meet-ups and mahjong-ing. haha. The 3rd day of CNY marks the gathering of 04s41 and it was a really good one. The attendance rate was wonderful and tianyu was simply a great host! It feels really great to see everyone again, esp. since i haven seen them for sooooooo long. i haven seen most of the guys since results day which is like erm... *gasp* abt a yr ago! woah, how time flies huh. we also celebrated birthdays for some of them as well, and it marks our 20th year. i guess we all feel old to some extent. haha. It feels different hanging out with my cls as compared to hanging out with my uni frens, and the contrast was felt as i went over to jinyuan's birthday celebration later in the night. Perhaps its just a good old feeling of being with old pals, whom we've shared the unforgettable vj times with, be it good or bad. Sitting down with my cls on that day reminds me of the times when we sat down in vj canteen during breaks at our usual table and while time away. how deja vu. It's a real pity that i couldnt stay a tad longer and have longer chats with everyone else. Hopefully, there'll be more of such gatherings in the near future! =)

I also met up with my pirateys for dinner last night, mainly to celebrate claire's bday. It was kinda exciting waiting for her arrival. (albeit a long one.) hahaha. Really happy for u, girl. u know wad i mean. *wink* =)

i guess the next time i will be able to meet up with old frens will most probably be in may, after everyone's exams. Lucky SMU ppl end their sem in mid-apr. raaaaah.

It's recess wk this wk, and i've sooooo many things to do! So many individual assignments, not forgetting grp projects and also gotta get more more more sponsors for FOC which will be coming really soon! I so need time to meet deadlines, to catch up with work, and play a little here and there during FOC recce/mahjong sessions/NUS visit. hahaha. life after recess wk is gonna be hellish. really really really cant wait for my 3-mth break. the month of May beckons! =)

gosh, am i ever so glad for this break!

the past few wks had been stressful and busy, and my stress level seemed to have reached its peak this wk.
but i'm ever so glad for the excellent conversations that i had with different frens, the only thing that's able to take my mind off work.
excellent conversations with frens not only allow us to know more abt our frens, but also abt ourselves.

and on total defence day, gleen turned up with a rose for each of us, and we were really surprised!

well, quite nice of him to sacrifice some FM mugging time to prepare the roses to bring for us the next day la.

hopefully my cynicism and skeptism towards the working out of relationships didnt really influence u.

its really sad how many of us sacrifice quality time that can be spent on family and frens and use the time for mugging instead.
yeah i'm a guilty party too.
the tons and tons of work leave us with no choice but to finish them, before we leave time for ourselves and our loved ones.
just for that degree.

i feel so cooped-up in ntu land.
i feel so no life.
i feel so sad that i cant meet my old frens much.
not even frens who are in ntu, just other courses though.
just missing everyone alot.
esp. after knowing how some of my vj clsmates went to send xq off to aus at the airport, and yet i was cooped up in north spine till 10pm cos of my elective and cos i'm having FM quiz this wk. =(

its vday.
but its also friendship day.
back in vj, vday was soooooo fun.
the secret pal revealation, the brainstorming of ideas of wat to give frens, the receiving of lovely handmade gifts and nicely written postcards from frens, the happiness of giving, the we're-all-in-holiday-mood instead of being in study-mood, the smiles all around, the bags and bags of gifts and flowers, the JTS(junior-treat-senior).

sigh.
i wish i have 30 hours in a day instead.
more time to finish up my work,
more time to meet up with non-ntu frens,
more time for my family,
more time for myself.

just to catch a breather.

our dearest xiaowei left for aus last thurs. 5 years later and she'll be a dentist. haha. am gonna miss having her around. well, prior to her departure, we had a project xiaowei that began on monday where we began to make a scrapbk filled with photos taken during the not-very-long period of time that we've known her. and filled the scrapbk with whatever crap and memories that we can think of. haha. made use of every possible break between lessons and stayed back after lessons to give her the best memories that we can. =)

i came across this photo which was taken during stats cls last sem and i somehow like it very much, for no rhyme or reason.
goes to show what random things we did during stats tut.
haha.

well, the clique started off with 6 of us.
so, the table will never be filled when there's 1 missing.

hmmm anyway,
the ASEAN Cup soccer finals kept singapore high for the past week.
and guess what.
i was acty part of the Kallang crowd last wed night, for the 1st leg of finals.
hahaha.
well, my 3rd time watching soccer at the National stadium.
and it's gonna be the last time too.
since the place is gonna be torn down soon.

i've been busy with some hall and FOC activities too, and the academic workload is getting heavier too.
thanks to some frens for the encouragement that they've given me! =)
yeah i guess Acc is manageable.
i JUST need some time to sit down and study really hard enough so i can grasp it.

hmmm been thinking abt going for exchange programs.
would love to go for the summer program, esp. since sha and cheryl are very keen too.
but i have FOC preparations during the summer break that clash with the trip.
dun feel good abandoning my committee, and i dun want to, too.
so there're only the semester exchange programs to consider, but hmmm, the duration is much longer.
so i dun think i'll be applying this time round.
maybe nxt sem see how again i guess.
sigh.

alrights, got to do some readings before i go off for my elective later.
